It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harold James Estelle of Howell, Michigan, who passed away on August 18, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Deborah Ruppel (Ronald), Melanie Estelle, Elizabeth Nobles (Steve) and Shawn Pippenger (Jon); his grandchildren, Jeffrey Ruppel, Nicholas Ruppel (Nathalie), Brittani Copley, Emily Cottick (Kyle), Alexis Rowley and Connor Pippenger; his great grandchildren, Nathalie Jane, Audrey, Caroline, Charlie Rae, Lily, Logan and Carter; his parents, James E. and Louise L.; and his sisters, LolaJean and Dorothy.

“Mr. Estelle was the principal at Farmington Elementary in Garden City when I was teaching as a 6th grade teacher. I remember he gave all the teachers a break right before Christmas by taking our students to the library for several hours so we could have some time to get grades together and get our rooms in order without having to stay after. He was tough but fair with students and loved any patriotic rendition of God Bless America for our morning pledge time. My condolences, Gina Lane”
