He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leonard Callahan and Helen Callahan (Walling); his former wife Arlene Duke; his wife Nancy; his sons, Shawn and Douglas; his stepchildren, Darr Senik Deschryver (Mark) and Dave Senik; his grandchildren, Kaleigh, Colin and Sebastian Deschryver; and his brother Charles.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Michigan Masonic Charitable Foundation.
