He was predeceased by: his father Leo Edward Smerza; his wife Helen Smerza; and his mother Elizabeth Smerza. He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Lisa; his family Edward; his son David Smerza (Lisa); and his siblings, Diann Thunderfyre, Betsy King and Michael Smerza (Nancy Keppelman).
