She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Schilk and Clara Schilk; and her husband Gilbert. She is survived by: her children, David and Nancy Cushman (Philip); her daughter-in-law Sara Eagle; her grandchildren, Dr. Philip Cushman III (Amy), Jessica Spooner (Tyler), Kristin Sheehy (Brett) and Dr. Jennifer Cushman; her sister-in-law Wanita Graham; and her siblings, Evelyn Scharr (Eugene), Jane Schilk, Alice Payne (Paul) and James Schilk. She is also survived by her six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Borek Jennings Funeral Home - Howell Memorial Chapel (1700 W Highland Rd, Howell, MI 48843). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lakes Lutheran Church (2101 S Hacker Rd, Brighton, MI 48114).
Memorial contributions are suggested to be made to the family to purchase a memorial bench to be installed in memory of Betty and her late husband.
