It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arlene M. Gates in Howell, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on May 9, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father William H. Lozon Jr. Mrs; her husband Robert Gates, Sr.; her mother Mary Lozon (Roberts); her grandson Russel Wright; and her son-in-law Rodney Wright.
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Wright (Gates) and Robert Gates of Howell; her siblings, Gene Vande Kieft (Larry) and Bill Lozon (Rita); her siblings-in-law, Chuck Gates, Donald Gates (Charlene), Ted Travis and Janet Dow; her grandchildren, Rebecca Gates, Kristina Wright, Michelle Wright, Brittany Gates and Jake Gates; and her great grandchild Kahlan. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society are suggested as Arlene was a breast cancer survivor and had numerous family members pass due to cancer.
