He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Bowyer and Bessie Bowyer (Sharp); his wife Norma; and his siblings, Jessie Herrman, Mary Dulak, Laura Veersma, Harriet Burwell and Harry Bowyer Jr..
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Mary Sullivan and Edward Dewar (Helen); his sister Ruth Schuelke; and his sister-in-law Beverly Bowyer. He is also survived by four grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; twenty-seven nieces and nephews.
