He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy W. Swartz and Dorothy E. Swartz (Shaw); his wife Joyce Janine Carncross; and his sister Donna Schmitz. He is survived by: his siblings, Barbara Bates-Parkhurst, Marilyn Hawkins (Larry) and Ken Swartz (Mary). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
