He was predeceased by: his parents, William Dunstan and Jennie Dunstan (Vaataja); his spouse Aili Ruohonen; his siblings, Millie Salo, Alvin Gagnon and Robert Dunstan; and his great grandchildren, Vanessa Narhi and Colt Anderson.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Heinonen (Marv), Chrissy Loukus (Luke), Carol Peterson (Paul), Bill Dunstan (Jean), Jack Dunstan (Margaret), Jeff Dunstan, Jon Dunstan (Roberta) and Jay Dunstan (Colleen); his sisters, Jean Juntikka and Charlene LaPierre (Leon); and his sister-in-law Carol Dunstan. He is also survived by 38 grandchildren, 112 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
