It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mabel Wakeham of Houghton, Michigan, born in Duluth, Minnesota, who passed away on May 17, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Eakin and Mary Eakin (Bryson); her husband Jack Wakeham; her daughter Vicky; and her siblings, William, John, David, Elsie Louma and Dorothy Ylitalo.
She is survived by: her children, Daniel Wakeham (Donna) of Houghton, Gary Wakeham (Theresa) of Lake Linden and Debra Manderfield of Iron Mountain; her grandchildren, Tim Wakeham, Sherry Hughes (Pat), Jeffrey Wakeham, Robin Ghazale and Michael Manderfield (Karen Bray); her great grandchildren, Cheyenne Reiter (Joe), Travis Hughes, Dustin Provost and Mya Ghazale; and her siblings, George Eakin (June), Harold Eakin (Fran), Fred Eakin, Lilly Wiitala, Verna Smith and Lorette Laplander. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
