James D. Belote Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James D. Belote (Houghton, Michigan), who passed away on December 11, 2024. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James D. Belote to pay them a last tribute.
As we bid James farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For James is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
A burial was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at the Chassell Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Keweenaw Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (604 Bridge St, Houghton, MI 49931).
It is suggested that persons who wish to make a donation in memory of Jim Belote consider making this to the Keweenaw Land Trust, 49902 Limerick St., Hancock, MI 49930 and earmarking it for the Paavola Wetlands Nature Area trails or to The Peter Wolfe Chapter of the North Country Trail Association, at this link: http://www.northcountrytrail.org. Be sure to indicate in the comment box this is a donation to the Peter Wolfe Chapter (or just PWC) in memory of Jim Belote.
