It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gladys Schutz of Houghton, Michigan, born in Painesdale, Michigan, who passed away on January 8, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Luoto and Mary Luoto (Sivonen); her husband Preceding; her sister Lucille; her brother-in-law Clarence Pakkala; her brother Raymond; her sister-in-law Dorothy Luoto; her son-in-law Mike Dixon; and her grandson Deron Dixon.
She is survived by: her former spouse Claude "Cully" Schutz; and her daughters, Claudia Etapa (Rich) of Chassell Mary, Jeanne Dixon and Linda Miller (Joe). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy the family suggests memorials be given to Omega House in Houghton or the Copper Country Humane Society in Houghton.
