Bette J. McKie Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bette J. McKie of Houghton, Michigan, who passed away on August 6, 2020 at the age of 72. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Bette J. McKie to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudy Paavo and Helen Paavo (Tyrvainen); her parents-in-law, Robert and Fern McKie; and her sister Sally Ann.
She is survived by: her husband Robert "Bob" McKie of Houghton; her children, Carrie Ann McKie of Bellevue and Michael McKie of Marquette; her grandchildren, Robby Neumann, Mariah Paige Barton, Veda Kerekes and McCarty McKie; her siblings, Robert Paavo (Donna) of Davenport, David Paavo (Barb) of Hurontown, Sandy Paavo of Houghton and Patti Milde (Bryan) of Obenhoff; her siblings-in-law, Mike McKie (Barb) of Eugene, Bruce McKie (Kelly) of Fort Mills and Sue Zamzow (Chuck) of Battle Creek; and her pet Chewy. She is also survived by numerous nieces; nephews; cousins; many dear friends.
In keeping with Covid-19 restrictions, social distancing and masks will be required.
In lieu of flowers, it was Bette's wishes to have memorials be made to the Omega House or to the Humane Society in her memory.
