He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Borchert and Amanda Borchert (Binder); and his sisters, Annmarie Hildenbrand and Madeline Ballard. He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Adair of Houghton Lake; and his children, Cathleen Stevens (Patrick) of Battle Creek, IA, Cynthia Partlo (Ronald) of Lansing, Debra Styburski (Ken) of Mackinac Island and Timothy Borchert of Houghton Lake. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; one great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Richard are asked to be directed to Shepherd of the Lakes Evangelical Lutheran Church or Heartland Hospice.
