He is survived by: his parents, Justin Akin and Shannon Akin (Eckstorm); his sister Callee Akin (Joseph Berglund) of Iron Mountain; his grandmother Freda Akin of Houghton Lake; his aunts and uncles, Scott Eckstorm of Houghton Lake, Steve Eckstorm (Nora) of Prudenville, Thomas Akin II of Houghton Lake, Lee Akin (Nannette) of Houghton Lake, Michael Akin of Houghton Lake, Jeremy Akin (Amber) of Roscommon, Kelly Ruckle (Kelby) of Whittemore, Stacy Stead (Chip) of Flushing and Shari Deyman (Brad) of Jenison; his great-uncle Jerry Akin of Colorado; and his cousins, Danny, Nicole Stead, Denny Miller, Melissa Gomez (Eckstorm), Steven, Stephanie, Scott, Colt Eckstorm, Nate, Brady Deyman, Taylar Sides (Akin), Alyssa Hill (Akin), Hailee Roeske (Akin), Ethan Akin, Nolan Akin, Brody Ruckle, Dylan, Dallas Akin and Ethan Horonzy.
