He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd J. Nichols and Dorothea Nichols (Tapert); his wife Marilyn Nichols (Pflueger); his daughter Deborah Nearman (Gary Nearman); his sisters, Patricia Naylor (Charles Naylor) and Joan Schumacher (Karl Schumacher); and his sister-in-law Norma Goulet (LouWellen Goulet).
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Troy Nearman (Jessica), Adam Nearman (Stephanie), Grant and Parker Nichols; his great grandchildren, Ashtyn, Avery, Addison and Makenzie; and his sisters-in-law, Elaine Newton (Dale) of Vassar and LouWellen Goulet of Bay City. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to show an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the First Presbyterian Church or the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan.
