He was predeceased by: his significant other Elizabeth Pollard (Pollard); his great grandchild David Ripke Jr.; and his siblings, Kenneth Ripke of Beaverton and Norma Menzel of Midland. He is survived by: his children, Herbert Jr., Herb Jr. Ripke (Diane) of Houghton Lake and Denise Ripke of St Helen; and his grandchildren, David Ripke (Jammie) of Houghton Lake, Krista Heine (Tim) of Houghton Lake and Amanda Ripke (Derrick Ehlen) of Columbus.
Memorials may be made to the St John Lutheran Church.
