With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George S. Baker of Houghton Lake, Michigan, who passed away on February 9, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As George departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though George may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy George leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his mother Ursula Louella Baker (Trombley); his close friend James Pulice; his father James Baker (Bud); and his siblings, Claude Francis Baker, Roger Lee Baker (Edna) and Betty Lou Baker.
He is survived by: his siblings, James M. Baker (Dolly) of Wyandotte, Robert M. Baker of Grayling and Beverly M. Baker of Ocean Springs.
Memorial contributions in memory of George are asked to be directed to Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church or the Houghton Lake Eagles.
