It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Emily Borton of Houghton Lake, Michigan, born in McFarland, Wisconsin, who passed away on May 9, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Peterson and Ella Peterson (Sharpee); her brother Robert Peterson; and her stepson Thomas Borton. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Borton of Houghton Lake; her daughters, Tamara Porras (Robert) of Round Rock, TX and Teri Brendsel (Kirby) of Weston, CT.; her stepchildren, Amy Ross (Tim) of Indiana and James Borton (Margaret) of Virginia; and her brother William Peterson (Kathie) of Arizona. She is also survived by five grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, masks covering the mouth and nose will be required, social distancing will be observed, and the funeral home capacity is limited to 25 people at any given time.
