It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David W. Fix of Houghton Lake, Michigan, who passed away on December 6, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. As David departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved David. Though David may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Fix and Mary Fix (Keefe); his wife Jan (Payne); and his brother Richard Fix. He is survived by: his significant other Julie Fischer; his brothers, Robert Fix (Alexandria) and Kenneth Fix (Melva); his children, Christopher Fix (Lynette), Timothy Fix and Deanna Hartwell (Brian); and his daughter-in-law Nancy Fix. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. James Catholic Church of Houghton Lake (7878 E Houghton Lake Dr, Houghton Lake, MI 48629).
