He was predeceased by: his parents, Ferris Detmer and Sarah Detmer (Gerardo); his wife Betty Detmer; and his brother Bob Detmer. He is survived by: his children, Alyce Zenker (Richard) of Newberry, Kenneth Detmer of Ypsilanti, Steven Detmer (Mary Lou) of Higgins Lake and Rick Detmer (Dawn) of Houghton Lake; and his brother Bud Detmer of Prudenville.
