William E. Lazarus Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William E. Lazarus of Homer, Michigan, born in Albion, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 29, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Milo Lazarus and Clara Lazarus (Wagner); his wife Judith "Judy" Hills; his son John Lazarus; his siblings, Joyce Schultz, Doris McKenzie, Donna Dearth, Rolland Lazarus and Gary Lazarus; and his great grandchild Ethan Newman.
He is survived by: his children, Bill Lazarus (Dawn), Ellen Newman (Paul), Debbie Torrey (Dennis), Jill Mestdagh (Rodney) and Jaye Steinman (Frank); his daughter-in-law Lisa Lazarus; his sisters-in-law, Joanne Hills and Marlene Lazarus; and his former wife Sue Cobley. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 36 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church of Homer (309 S Sophia St, Homer, MI 49245). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at the West Eckford Cemetery (19 1/2 Mile Rd, Marshall, MI 49068).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Homer, Michigan.
