It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Ellen Hines of Homer, Michigan, born in Jackson, Michigan, who passed away on March 18, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Hixon and Camilla Hixon (Smith); and her siblings, James Hixon, John Hixon, David Hixon, Charles Hixon, Jr. and Eleanor Hess.

She is survived by: her husband Homer "Jerry" Hines; her children, Rosemarie Gard (Mark) of Concord, Sharon Hines of Englewood, FL, James "Jim" Hines of Jackson and Gary Hines of Jackson; her grandchildren, Jeremy Hines (Karlie), Bryan McClure, Tasha LeMar (Rich), Jennifer Wiggins (Bruce), Dennis Hines (Katherine), Anthony Hines, Cory Hines (Jaimie), Catie Houghton (Ben Anderson) and Joshua Hines; her stepgrandsons, Mark Gard, Jr. and Matthew Gard; her great grandchildren, Cameron Hines, Kendall Hines, Abrianna LeMar, Kaydence LeMar, Kendra LeMar, Lilly LeMar, Jacoby Hines, Abigail Hines, Evan Thompson, Chase Houghton and Delilah Houghton; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Courtney Gard, Makayla Gard and Marleigh Gard. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and extended family.

Following the executive orders in place, no more than 25 people will be allowed in the funeral home at a time and face masks with social distancing will be required.
