He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Hughes and Beverly Hughes (Wygant); his daughter Teresa Hughes; and his brother Gary Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Sally Proctor; his children, Diane Allen (Travis) of Union City, Irene Hughes of Coldwater, Michigan, Steven Hughes of Maryland and Edward Hughes (Tonya) of Jonesville, Michigan; and his stepsons, Ed Proctor (Marie) of Homer and Kevin Proctor of Allen, Michigan. He is also survived by four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes's Foundation, the American Heart Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
