He was predeceased by: his parents, Meredith Wright and Mildred Wright (Fountain); his wife Susanne J. Wright; his brothers, Larry and Meredith; his grandson Joey; and his pet Gizmo.

He is survived by: his children, Bill Wright and Teresa Coppock (Rich); his grandchildren, Echo Levine (Josh), Kayla Owens and Robert Owens Jr. (Ashley); and his great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Hunter, Holly, Haylie, Donald and Clifton Jay "CJ".

Memorial contributions may be given in his memory to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society of South-Central Michigan.
