He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Samuel J. II and Jewel L. Stitt II (Zeckzer); his wife Pauline Britton of Holton; his children, Carolee Cole (Russ) of Cedar Springs, David Stitt (Louise) of Holton, Timothy Stitt (Paula) of Hudsonville, Robert Stitt (Lori) of Holton and Martin Stitt of Zeeland; his siblings, Terry Stitt (Shirley), Bert Stitt (Linda), Samuel J. Stitt III (Peggy), Leah Antoniewicz (Robert), Michael Stitt (Chris) and Esther Davis (George); his siblings-in-law, James Schwartz and Olivia Stitt; and his siblings, Karon Schwartz, Nancy Miller and Pat Stitt. He was also cherished by 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren.
