She was predeceased by: her father Andres Garza Sr.; her grandmother Cecelia Florez; her aunt Rachel Florez; and her uncle Dan Florez. She is survived by: her mother Lucy Whitten; her husband Ted Hawk; her granddaughters, Olivia and Ava Niño; her siblings, Andres Garza Jr. (Jamie), Manrick Garza (Tennile), Adrian Garza Sr. (Rachel), Margarita Alviar and Carissa Garza; her children, Dominick Jose Nino, Julian Ricardo Girard, Telissa Luce-Marie Hawk and Alax Alan Hawk; her granddaughter Ava Aleese Nino; and also Melvin Whitten. She is also survived by her two sons as a strong single mother.
