It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Michael Pohl of Holt, Michigan, who passed away on January 16, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joseph Michael Pohl to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Pohl and Catherine Pohl; and his siblings, Norbert (Marion), Gerald (Helen), Leon, Bernice, Sr., Dorothy, Sr., Bernadine, Sr., MaryAnn and Rosaline (Delbert).
He is survived by: his wife Marie; and his children, Joyce Barker (DuWayne), Joan Lenz (Ronald), Dennis Pohl (Katherine), Kenneth Pohl (Rochelle) and Charles Pohl (Joycelyn). He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Palmer Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes- Holt Chapel (5035 W Holt Rd, Holt, MI 48842). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Gerard Catholic Church (4437 W Willow Hwy, Lansing, MI 48917). An entombment will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery (2520 W Willow Hwy, Lansing, MI 48917).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made to St. Vincent DePaul-IHM or R.J. Scheffel Memorial Toy Project.
