He was predeceased by: the mother of his children Sandra Scorobet Forbes. He is survived by: his children, Kelly Forbes, Christopher Forbes and Kimberly Cooper (Chad); his grandchildren, Remington, Maclain, Jackson, Mitchell and Kaiya; and his siblings, Susan McKenzie (Patrick), John Forbes (Cecilia), Ken Forbes (Daughn) and Lynda Forbes.

“My sister and her husband lived next to Walt in Waterford - that is how I met Walt. The first time I met him a few of us went swimming in his pool. Walt commented to me that I could not swim in his pool since I was wearing a one-piece swimming suit - not a bikini. It was a fun comment !!! Walt was a nice and friendly person. I remember his living room without furniture - just motors and parts. What a special person. Rest in peace, Walt.”
