He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Robert A. Whedon Sr.; his adoptive father David G. Ball; his mother Luella Dawson (Green) of Lansing, Michigan; his stepfather Richard Dawson, Sr.; his son Scott Ball of Lansing; his stepchildren, Sara Hoch (Josh) and April Cadarette (Nick) of Grand Rapids; his grandchildren, Abby Hoch, Noah Hoch and Gavin Cadarette; his siblings, Carol Ball of Terre Haute, IN and Ronald Ball of Williamston; and his stepsiblings, Richard Dawson (Carol) of St. Louis, MO, Charlotte Howard (Benny) of Birmingham, AL and Diane Dawson of Lansing. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.

The family requests that contributions be made to any charity of choice in memory of Robert.
