He was predeceased by: his daughters, Wendy Cooper and Michele Marth. He is survived by: his wife Jane; his sons, Richard Cooper and John Cooper; and his stepchildren, Beth Smith (Brad), Barbara Wiley, Tim Marth, Tom Marth (Bobbie), Becky Thomas (Bob) and Peter Marth (Laura). He is also survived by 24 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
