She was predeceased by: her parents, Vance C. Mullis and Ruth Lee Mullis (Carriker); her daughter Ruth Ann Starnes; and her brothers, V. C., Harvey, Kenneth, Jack and Gene.
She is survived by: her children, Stephen Siller Tunnel and Towers Foundation; her husband John W. Starnes; her children, Doug Starnes (Robbyn), Edward Starnes (Lori) and Kathy Funk (Douglas); her grandchildren, Bradley, Eric, Steven Starnes (Elizabeth), Sarah Swartz (Jeremy), Lindsay Miller and Adam Funk; her great grandchildren, Kali and Carter Swartz; her siblings, Vera, Doris, Joyce, Jo, Sylvia, Dale and James; and her sister-in-law Linda.
