She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Lawson-Melton and Myrtle Lawson-Melton (Crunk); her husband Harold Stewart; her son Lloyd Melton; and her siblings, Kenneth Lawson, Leonard Melton and Joyce Melton.
She is survived by: her children, Elton Melton (Glenda), Kathy Melton and Laura Rodriguez (Larry Barker). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 16 great- grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
