She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Roe and Blanche Roe (Bushroe); her husband Philip Hicks; her children, Phyllis Thiel and Donald Hicks; her granddaughter Tiffany Thiel; and her brother Ernest Jr. Roe.
She is survived by: her daughter Joy Royle of Holly; and her sister Linda Ziegler of Newport. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
