We are sad to announce that on August 8, 2023, at the age of 91, John W. Sears (Holly, Michigan), born in Saginaw, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Sears and Harriet Sears (Watson); his brother Ronald H. Sears; his brother-in-law Herbert Kipke; and his nephew Ken Kipke.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Maul; his daughters, Jeanne Paige, Lisa Moody (Mike) and Sallie Piering; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Chuck), Dustin (Nathan), Alexandria, Mallory (Nicholas), Alysa (Paul), Grant and James (Maddy); and his sisters, Nancy Puszykowski (Robert) and Sally Kipke. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Saginaw County Right to Life.

“Jack was a special individual to me during a very difficult time in my life. He was instrumental in showing compassion as I transitioned from my place of employment and was generous in his help to make sure I was taken care of along with my family. He had a caring, loving and giving heart and I will never forget what he did for me. I also remember the mirth and dry wit Jack had. We had some great laughs together. Most of all, he loved the Lord and enjoyed learning God's Word. Thank you, Jack!”
