He was predeceased by: his parents, Clay Hensley and Gertrude Hensley; his grandsons, Johnny Hensley and Cory Cesaro; and his siblings, Verneda Watkins and Bethel Watkins.
He is survived by: his spouse Alvey "Jean" Hensley; his children, Donna Thorpe (Olaf), Larry Hensley (Chery), Gary Hensley (late Wendy), Deborah Pointer (late Dave), Phyllis Spencer and Mack Hensley (Sheila); and his siblings, Clay Hensley, Jr. (Terry), Paul Hensley, Herbert Lee Hensley and Glen Hensley (Lois). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Union Lake Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home (1233 Union Lake Rd, White Lake Charter Township, MI 48386). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at the Mills Township Cemetery (2441 E Greenwood Rd, Prescott, MI 48756).
