He was predeceased by: his parents, Hans Arnold and Lillian Arnold (Sautter); and his brother-in-law Duane Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Ardythe Arnold (Streu); his children, Matthew Arnold (Amy), Kristina Arnold (Matthew Paul) and Steve Arnold (Lindsay); his grandchildren, Chase Arnold (Maddalynn), Caden Arnold, Baylee Arnold and Lukas Arnold; his sister Carol Johnson; his niece Diane Webb; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Rachel Webb and Reagan Webb; and his brother-in-law Allan Streu.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gephart Funeral Home (201 W Midland St, Bay City, MI 48706). A burial was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Great Lakes National Cemetery (4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442).
A burial for James, will take place on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly Michigan. in lieu of flowers, contributions may be considered to Veterans Homeless Solutions Inc.
