He was predeceased by: his parents, John Vriesman and Henrietta Vriesman (Poel); his daughter Sherri Venhousen; and his brothers, Sherman and Clayton.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann Vriesman; his children, Steven, Sheryl Vriesman of Denver, Suzanne and Daryl Poortinga of Holland; his son-in-law Robert (Judy Venhousen); and his in-laws, Joann Vriesman, Katherine Vriesman, Walter and Trenda Vannette. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren.
