With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Theodore Stephen Vanderveen of Holland, Michigan, born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on September 5, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Simon and Florence Theresa Vanderveen (Hoekstra); his son Timothy Vanderveen; his grandson Chase Tucker; his brother Dan Vanderveen; his siblings-in-law, Marianne Hinz, Bob and Mark Dirkse; and also, Burton and Adrianna Dirkse (Buyze).
He is survived by: his children, David Eric (Sarah Koops), Sara Elizabeth Tucker (Karl), Jane Elise VanderMeer (Joe), Joel Peter (Katie Donaldson) and Elizabeth Ann Heinrich (Nathan); his grandchildren, Schuyler, Willem Vanderveen, Noah, Wyatt, Preston Tucker, Jonah, TJ VanderMeer, Ava, Leah, Emmett Vanderveen, Mason and Lila Heinrich; his wife Joan Annette Dirkse; his sister Mary Romence (Bill); and his siblings-in-law, Herb Dirkse (Marge), Don Hinz, Joyce Dirkse and Diana Dirkse.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions in Memory of Theodore Vanderveen may be made to any the following: Christ Memorial Church (Holland), Exalta Health Clinic (Grand Rapids), Grand Haven Christian School, Tri-Cities Y.M.C.A., or Emmanuel Hospice.
