She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Dykstra and Gertrude Dykstra; her son Mike Hop; and her great grandchild Ethan VerHage. She is survived by: her husband Bob Hop; her daughters, Kathy Diemer (Rick) and Kim Walters (Dale); her daughter-in-law Brenda Hop; her grandchildren, Shawn Diemer (Jodi), Kelli Kapenga (Andrew), Jessica Kamminga (Brian), Melissa Boyd (Cornelius), Stacy Runner (Phil), Ashley VerHage (Ryan), Adam Diemer (Kylie), Tanya Kooiker (Kevin), Bethany Raak (Steve), Travis Walters (Jilayne), Melinda Kryger (Joel), Ryan Walters (Angela Stegink), Kristopher Hop (Michelle), Danyelle Roon (Jeff) and Mitchell Hop (Samantha Tear); her siblings, Mary De Graff (Jack), Delwyn Dykstra (Donna), Delores DeVries (Ed) and Steve Dykstra (Cathy); and her in-laws, Delores Hop, Alverne Hop (Arlene), Elaine Jacobsen (Neil) and Judith Kronemeyer. She is also survived by 45 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
In the spirit of Thelma's generosity, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to South Olive CRC, South Olive Christian School, or Hospice of Holland, in lieu of flowers.
