He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerben Terpstra and Ann Terpstra (Veldheer); his wife Dorene; his son Scott Terpstra; his son-in-law Earl Teague; and his great grandchild Abigail Teague.

He is survived by: his children, Steven Terpstra (Norma) and Darla Teague; his daughter-in-law Carla Terpstra; his sister Gloria Leenheer (Lee); and his sisters-in-law, Hazel Becksfort (Dave), Lois Van Wienen (John) and Lila Terpstra. He is also survived by 10 Grandchildren; 13 Great Grandchildren with another great grandchild.
