He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Ritsema and Susie Ritsema; his sister Nell Vriesman (Dick); and his in-laws, Ardale, Hazel Ferguson, Connie Klaasen (Don) and Revell Rayne.
He is survived by: his wife MaryAlice; his children, Julie Hedges (Dave), Raymond (Mary), Mark (Chris) and Kyle; his grandchildren, Erica Albertin (Matthew), Jake Hedges (Bri), Gavin, Lindsay and Ella Ritsema; his stepgranddaughters, Marissa Bowler (Sean) and Hannah Lindstrom; his great grandchildren, Eli, Luke, Theo Albertin, Penelope, Desmond Hedges and Maeve Bowler; and his siblings, Arlene Muyskens (George) and Ray Ritsema (Joan).
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Dykstra Funeral Homes Mulder Chapel (188 32nd St, Holland, MI 49423). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Third Reformed Church (111 W 13th St, Holland, MI 49423).
