He was predeceased by: his wives, Beatrice Schutt (Tamminga) and Ann Schutt (Holstege); his son Ken Schutt; his siblings, Ed Schutt (Ila), James Schutt, Don Schutt, Nelva Van Kampen (Gerrit) and Arlene Tenckinck; and his siblings-in-law, Delores Schutt, Jim Tamminga (Carla), Willard Tamminga (Connie), Henry Tamminga (Joyce), Bud Tamminga (Henrietta), Marty Chrispell, Alice DeNeff (Ken) and Juella Keller (Ed).
He is survived by: his sons, Ray and Larry Schutt (Jan); his grandchildren, Andrew Schutt (Kati) and Janna Melville (Jeff); his children, Wanda Bailey, Dale Schutt and Diane Alferink (Ron); his grandchildren, Kevin Alferink (Kayleen), Brent Alferink (Randi) and Kara Engelsman (Tony); his son Steve Schutt (Shirley); his grandchildren, Jeffrey Schutt (Somer) and Jillian Grosse; his sons, Tom Schutt and Ron Schutt (Missy); his grandchildren, Adam Schutt (Megan) and Kyle Schutt (Amal); his brother Howard Schutt; and his siblings-in-law, Ken Tenckinck, Marlie Schutt, Bill Tamminga (Bev) and Lil Chrispell. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren.
