He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Matz and Mabel Matz (Webb); and his siblings, Dennis and Donna. He is survived by: his wife Janet (Leonhardt); his daughters, Lisa Ulrich (Keith), Vicki McCall (Rob) and Sheri Boos (Jon); and his grandchildren, Philip, Kirsten, Jonathan, Jack, Lauren and Megan.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Immanuel Church or Hospice of Holland.
