She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Maatman and Alyce Zuverink Maatman; her husband Eugene Emerson; her siblings, Lloyd Maatman Jr. and Judith Aye; her stepdaughter-in-law Karen Emerson; and her stepgrandsons, Oliver Zane Emerson and Mark Emerson.
She is survived by: her children, Rick Ter Haar (Laura) and Cindy Vogelzang; her stepsons, Michael Emerson (Linda), Kirk Emerson and Derek Emerson (Mary Ann Permesang); her grandchildren, Elise Ter Haar (Drew Dykens), Ryan Vogelzang (Audrey) and Christina Brewster (Joshua); her stepgrandchildren, Dane Emerson (Chaia), Ryan Emerson (Sheyra) and Lauren Emerson (Brad Miedema); and her great grandchildren, John Jackson Vogelzang, Max Ryan Vogelzang and Roman Brewster.
In lieu of flowers family requests that memorial contributions be made in Nancy's memory to Holland Christian Schools or Hope College/Oliver Zane Emerson Nursing Scholarship.
