He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Culver and Grace Culver; and his brothers, Lawrence Culver, Donald Culver, Clare Culver and Theodore Snyder.

He is survived by: his wife Gloria Hoeve; his children, Karen, Thomas Diekema, Russell, Cindy Culver, Donna and Carl Barman; his grandchildren, Alisha Fauser (Alex), Abigail Brown (Randy), Lanie Nyboer (Luke), Taylor Diekema (Amanda), Racheal Houtman (Zach), Hunter Barman, Kaylor Leisure, Klare Leisure, Kennedy Leisure and Kyan Leisure; and his in-laws, Martha Vander Ploeg, Joyce Stempfly, Evelyn, Harverd Hoekje and Judy Hoeve. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
