It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jose S. Ramirez of Holland, Michigan, born in Eagle Pass, Texas, who passed away on July 23, 2024, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his children, Alicia Calderon, Juanita Ramirez, Oscar Ramirez and Jose Ramirez, Jr.; his children-in-law, Gilberto Campos, Reyes Pena, Jose Caustrita and Santa V. Ramirez; his grandchildren, Jamie Ramirez, Rosendo Ramirez and Jose V. Ramirez; his siblings, Octaviano Ramirez, Ramiro Ramirez, Manuel Ramirez, Francisca Cuellar and Jesucita Monroy; and his brother-in-law Luis Villasenor.
He is survived by: his wife Blanca Ramirez; and his children, Santa Campos of Holland, Maria Pena of Holland, Teresa Caustrita of Holland and Jesse Ramirez (Julie) of Holland. He is also survived by 34 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and great-great-great grandchildren Sister.
Memorial contributions in Jose's honor may be made out to the American Diabetes Association and the American Cancer Society.
