He is survived by: his wife Irene; his sister Mary Vande Poel; his children, Eric, Amy Vande Poel (Johnson), Dirk, Darci Vande Poel (Fischer), Joel and Heidi Vande Poel (Zwart); and his grandchildren, Shannon Hopkins (Taylor), Shawni Torres (Mitch), Haily Hickey (Jay), Tyler Vande Poel (Bailey), Jamie Pulver (Wes), Colleen Vande Poel, Jacklyn Vande Poel, Russell Vande Poel and Mari Vande Poel. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
