He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward and Georgiana Mae Hartmann, Sr. (Wichtman); his grandparents, George, Leona Wichtman (Brinker), Robert and Frances Hartmann (Dahl); and his parents-in-law, Patrick and Elizabeth Barry, Sr. (Collette).
He is survived by: his wife Cyndie; his sons, Scott James Hartmann (Wendy) of Sparta, MI and Andrew Barry Hartmann (Colleen) of Muskegon, MI; his grandchildren, Kennzie Hartmann, Reese Hartmann, Ansel Hartmann and Alexander Hartmann; and his siblings-in-law, Patrick, Cheryl Barry, Jr. of Livonia, Shirley, Timothy Sabourin of Linden, Elizabeth Hengesbach of Lansing and Timothy Barry of Westland. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Lake Church (480 152nd Ave, Holland, MI 49424). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church (480 152nd Ave, Holland, MI 49424).
