He was predeceased by: his wife Joan; and his siblings, John Van Oss (Theresa), Jean Hulst (Jerold), Trudy Langejans (Steve) and Gertrude Wolters (Art).
He is survived by: his children, Kathy Mokma (Keith), Calvin Van Oss (Jane), Charles Van Oss (Amy), Karen Van Oss and Kristy Brown (Alan); and his grandchildren, Jennifer Addessi (James), Matt Mokma (Reba), Rob Mokma (Paige), Jeffery Van Oss (Jessica), David Van Oss (Katelyn), Phillip Van Oss (Heather), Ryan Van Oss, Allie De Boer (Kyle), Brice Van Oss (Emma) and Amy Brown. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
