He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Schutt and Helene Schutt (Michielsen); his wife Delores Lanham; and his in-laws, Edwin (Ila), James, Nelva VanKampen (Gerrit), Raymon (Bea), Donald and Arlene Tenckinck.

He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Schutt (Joe Doyle) of Muskegon and Joanne Parsell (Lew) of Holland; his siblings-in-law, Marlie Schutt and Kenneth Tenckinck of New Jersey; his granddaughters, Michelle Shaver (Derek), Samantha Widner (Cory Hoggard) and Rachel Thorpe (Jim); and his great grandchildren, Nicole, Cody, Austin, Natalie, Emma, Norah, Sylis, Ashton and Amira.
